The weeks leading up to my 18th birthday, I had a profound realization that I had been living my life for everyone other than myself. On the eve of my birthday, I set down and decided that come hell or high water, I would start living for me! That’s where this list came from. I’ve been lucky enough to complete some of the items… but I’m no where through!!
1. Get a tattoo First tattoo.. June 2001
2. Get a kiss at the top of a ferris wheel.
3. Travel to Hawaii. (This will be happening May 23, 2009 for my little brother’s wedding!!!) Completed May 2009
4. Sit in a Blue Angel fighter jet. Completed May 2004
5. Get Married.
6. Have a few little ones.
7. Pay off my credit cards. Completed June 2003
8. Purchase a house.
9. Drive a bulldozer. Completed August 2004. Sometimes it helps to have grown up in a VERY small town =)
10. Make love to my husband under a waterfall.
11. Travel to Europe.
12. Develop a real, strong relationship with my sister. Completed March 2006
13. Learn to play golf.
14. Learn to scuba dive.
15. Travel to D.C. and see the WWII Museum.
16. Fly a plane.
17. Compete in a marathon.
18. Go sky-diving.
19. Perfect a “signature dish”.
20. See the Christmas Tree in Central Park.
21. Swim with dolphins.
22. Travel to Australia.
23. Take my picture in front of the Hollywood sign.
24. See a Broadway play. Completed in May 2009. I saw Rock of Ages and LOVED it!!
25. Travel to Africa. Completed December 2009
26. Take a ride in a hot air balloon.
27. Learn to surf.
28. Live by myself. Completed (the first time) October 2002
29. Take a cross country road trip. Completed August 2003
30. Go to the Superbowl =)
